This 84-acre park and sports complex is located in Broken Arrow on 145 E. Ave., one-half mile south of 131 St. S. Much of the park consists of soccer and baseball fields. But the park is on the banks of the Arkansas River and provides a good view up and down the river for several miles.

Bald Eagles have been reported here in winter and migrating shorebirds sometimes show up on the sandbars when the river is low. Look for Great Blue and Little Blue herons, Great and Snowy egrets in summer; Ring-billed and Franklin's gulls in migration, and Belted Kingfishers. Caspian, Least, Black, and Forster's terns are seen in small numbers during migration.

There is a small wooded creek in the park which provides limited habitat for woodland species. Dense cover along the creek attracts wintering sparrows and other thicket birds.

In the summer look for Scissor-tailed Flycatchers and Eastern Kingbirds on the chainlink fences around the baseball and soccer fields. Scissor­tailed Flycatchers are especially numerous in fall just before they start their migration south.
